Plastic 4 and 5

Guiding Questions:

1. the decomposition of plastics
2. in what way are non-biodegradable plastics harmful to the environment?
3. the steps and procedures to make natural plastic from dairy products.
4. What if the experiment fails? any alternative methods?
5. What are the results to be tabulated?
6. Will the products be usable?
7. the principle of using milk to produce natural plastics?
8. why are natural plastics easier to decompose?
9. Why are natural plastics better than oil-based plastics?

Procedures to carry out the experiment:
1. Boil the milk in a water bath and add vinegar to the boiling milk.
2. Wait for milk curds to be formed.
3. Allow the milk curds to cool down and separate the milk curds from the solution.
4. Place the milk curds in a container.
5. Allow the milk curds to stand for 2 hours.
6. Wash the milk curds with water and retrieve the plastic.

Lloyd did not came during that lesson. We could not carry on the experiment so instead we did a further research on the Decomposition of Natural Plastic.

IPW Week 4 Reflection

Week 4, we changed our topic to Decomposition of Natural plastic and planned to do the experiment the next week. We also assign each memeber to bring their own material.

On Week 2 We Chose A Topic For Our G.R.A.C.E Project, It Involves High Phosphate Detergent, Elodea Plants And Glass Jars. We Also Decided On Joining The Biotech Competition.

On our first lesson, we came up with our group name R.A.I.L. The name represent our first lettle of our own name. Our blog was up and we decided on our own roles and responsibilities for our GRACE Project.
